Photographer:
Laura Du Vé Creative+ was birthed from Laura’s love of photography from a very young age. Taking her first self-portrait at age 9 on a disposable camera while on year 4 camp.
Her family was full of quiet creatives. Her dad, also a photographer, grandmother a painter, and uncle a Jazz musician. Her father used to lend her his camera to shoot with, finding that her images always seem focused on the intricacies in people and emotion.
Because of this, her connection to imagery and capturing people really grew from there.
She has been steadily working freelance since 2013. Her work has great diversity in imagery, covering commercial, event, music and fine art portraiture.
Some of her recent clients include Lush Cosmetics, PUMA, St Martins Youth Arts Centre, Extra Gum, and Impala Skates. While her personal artwork often portrays themes of sensuality, sexuality, queer and gender expression and, the body. Her personal work is also known for documenting predominately LGBTQIA+ culture.
